Master Kuthumi
| Master Kuthumi's embodiment was of Kashmiri origin. He was on earth in the beginning of the eighteenth century till nearly the end of the twentieth century. After which he simply vanished. It is believed he ascended with his body. During his physicality he was a man of noble presence, of wonderful deep blue eyes through which love and wisdom of ages would flow out. After he ascended he started working from the Second ray or the love wisdom ray. His action is illumination and His activity is education, giving understanding and wisdom through love. While on earth he was educated at one of the British universities and was instrumental in bringing forth eastern theosophical teachings to the West. In 1850 he was in Oxford University and was instrumental in bringing forth Theosophy. It was said that he maintained his physical body for nearly three hundred years, and then he went into a valley in the Himalayan Mountains and ascended from there in about 1889. |
| The Hierarchy has given him the work of stimulating the love manifestation, which is latent in the hearts of all humanity, and of awakening in the consciousness of the human race the perception of the great fundamental fact of brotherhood (maitreey/friendship). He was one of the few Masters who was revered by the nature kingdom and represented the heart of the nature kingdom. He was able to reach through the elemental kingdom and accelerate his consciousness to a point where he was of assistance in that realm. He was an ardent lover of nature; birds and animals were drawn to Him to be in his radiance. He would gaze the magic of nature for hours, communicate with the nature spirits or would stay a whole day with a flower and see it blossom. |
